TRAINING METHODS

Step one - Priming the body:

Myofascial Release

The muscles of the body are enveloped in a web-like connective tissue known as fascia. Over time, poor or dysfunctional movement patterns can cause this fascia to become restricted and develop knot-like adhesions that limit range of motion. As mobility decreases, the body adapts by creating compensatory movement patterns, which often lead to further dysfunction. Myofascial release is a self-massage technique designed to reduce these restrictions and restore tissue quality. When applied consistently, it helps make muscle tissue more pliable and receptive to corrective exercise, realignment strategies, and dynamic movement.

Diaphragmatic Breathing

Optimal movement relies on efficient breathing mechanics. Diaphragmatic breathing facilitates coordinated function between the diaphragm, ribcage, and deep core musculature to enhance spinal stability and decompression. Establishing these foundational breathing patterns allows for effective integration and progression within our training system.

Corrective Exercise

Corrective exercise is designed to restore efficient movement by addressing imbalances and retraining faulty patterns. Using methods such as joint stacking, active spinal decompression, diaphragmatic breathing, and re-tensioning, we break the cycle of cumulative strain and injury. Our warm-up protocols prepare the body to create long-term improvements in movement quality and overall function.

Step two - Strength & Endurance:

We don't believe in training looks alone. Instead, we prioritize a structurally integrated body that can sustain efficient movement based on sound human biomechanics. This is what sets our strength training approach apart, allowing it to translate seamlessly to athletic performance and fundamental human movements such as running, walking, and throwing

IMAP's

"Integrated Muscle Action Potentiation" or chambers. Develop a deeper understanding of your unique body mechanics and how you move through the gait cycle as you work to rewire connections between muscles, nerves, and fascia. Chambers combines advanced corrective exercise with a more efficient approach to strengthening the body and building muscle.

Multi-plane Balistic Movements

An effective athlete moves with agility and flow while staying centered and powerful. Losing control of the center of gravity can cause the body to compensate, increasing the risk of injury. Multi-plane ballistic movements mimic how we move in sport and everyday life, improving the body’s natural sense of coordination. The focus is on maintaining a stable center while performing strong, explosive movements.

Pendulum Motions

When the body is observed walking, running, or throwing in slow motion, the limbs move in smooth, rhythmic, parabolic patterns. Pendulum-based movements are a form of multidimensional training that mirrors these natural mechanics. Incorporating them into a regular fitness routine is essential for developing proper muscle activation, timing, and precision in real-time movement. As a result, reaction time and endurance improve, and you may also experience a greater sense of inner calm as your body becomes better equipped to adapt to unpredictable forces.

Meet the owner

My name is Jared Zupito and my fitness journey began when I was 8 years old playing baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. I always loved being outside playing sports and being in nature with friends; I can't thank my parents enough for providing an environment where this was possible. When I started middle school I took on cross country and wrestling which turned into the two sports I stuck with throughout Great Valley High School.

I've always had a passion for helping people and taking care of my health. This is why I enrolled in a pre-nursing program for a year and a half but then decided to pursue my true passion in personal training.

Three years into being a personal trainer I found a training methodology that helps people get to the root cause of their dysfunctions where traditional training doesn't. I then opened up Main Line Biomechanics in November of 2023 in an effort to help myself and other people do this specific training. It is with great passion that I spend my days helping people fix their posture and movement imbalances that respect our evolutionary paleobiomechanics.

Along with operating Main Line Biomechanics I am also the head wrestling coach of Great Valley High School where I use certain techniques to help improve their performance and prevent injuries.

Thank you for visiting!
